In Aion 2, Amplify Stones (also called Amplification Stones) are essential for pushing your high-tier gear beyond its standard enhancement limits. They are especially important for Successive and Heroic-level equipment. Collecting them efficiently can save you time and resources. Here’s how to do it like a pro:
1. Primary Farming Sources
Dungeon Bosses:
Amplify Stones are rare drops from both solo and party dungeons. Focus on high-level Expedition runs and Strongholds, as bosses there have a higher chance of dropping stone fragments.
Substance Morphing (Crafting):
This is one of the most consistent ways to get stones. You can convert common materials or Amplify Stone Shards into full stones using the Substance Morph system. Keep an eye on your Odyle energy to keep morphing efficiently.
Daily & Weekly Tasks:
Some high-level Duty Missions reward stone shards. Make these missions a priority in your daily or weekly routine to steadily accumulate materials.
2. Efficiency Tricks
Duplicate Gear Method:
If you have multiple copies of the same equipment, you can use a duplicate to push enhancements instead of spending a rare Amplify Stone. Save your stones for unique or one-of-a-kind gear while using duplicates for common Heroic items.
Alts (Character Cycling):
Many enhancement materials are account-bound. Use alternate characters to complete easier daily dungeons and send the earned stones or shards to your main character through the Account Warehouse.
The Broker (Auction House):
Check the market during off-peak hours. After world boss events, some players sell stone fragments at lower prices, which is a great way to stock up without farming.
3. Smart Usage Strategy
Save for +15 and Beyond:
Amplify Stones should not be wasted on low-level gear. Standard stones usually handle enhancements up to +10 or +15. Use Amplify Stones only to break these caps or to unlock Awakening stats.
Balance with Kinah:
Amplification costs Kinah, and the price scales with the item’s level. Always make sure you have enough Kinah to cover both the stone usage and the gold cost for the upgrade.
